The C-80 also borrows acoustic design cues from its pricier cousins with an internal isolation structure was taken from the Sony C-800G and a second diaphragm (located in the back and borrowed from the Sony C-100) that purifies recording results further by cutting down on unwanted proximity effect and low-end boominess. Music Bliss sound engineers can't get enough of this offering from Sony!
