Attention, sound designers: here is something that should be on your radar! The Behringer Radar Eurorack module features a contact/pickup microphone that re-creates your taps and scratches into gate and envelope signals, which can then be patched into other modules. The Radar’s microphone is also sensitive enough to detect soundwaves from other nearby sources, so you can add interesting effects to external snare drums, sounds from loudspeakers, or whatever else your imagination can conjure. The Radar is surprisingly easy to use and only has four controls and switches that give you immediate access to important parameters such as Attack and Decay, plus there are three sensitivity levels (low, medium, and high). Finally, three LEDs provide you with visual information regarding clipping, gate activity, and envelope follower level.
