Boldly derived from the '90s-era MF-style modulation pedal, the Behringer BM-18M Cluster Box leverages a dual-range BBD delay line and a multi-waveform LFO to deliver ear-grabbing chorus, flange, and vibrato effects. Patterned after the modular analog synthesizers of yore, the BM-18M will process, morph, and modulate everything you run through it, infusing electric guitars, synthesizers, and vocals with subtle swirling, flux-flavored flanging, and vibe-heavy vibrato. The LFO, Rate, and Amount knobs give you exacting control over the dynamics and expression of your modulation effects. Moreover, Delay and Feedback knobs give rise to rich, resonant textures. One of the elements of the BM-18M we found most exciting here at Music Bliss is the USB/MIDI features, which let you match the effect to the beat or, with the help of an expression pedal, take a more hands-on, real-time approach to control. You also get a Tap Tempo footswitch for lock-tight rhythmic synchronization and a Mix knob for blending between the Audio In signal and the BM-18M’s stereo Outs.
